Ayurveda Consulting ("we," "us") operates ayurvedaconsult.ca and provides online Ayurvedic wellness consultations to clients in Canada. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

What we collect

• Booking information: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, provided when you book a session.
• Health and wellness information: details you choose to share about your health concerns, lifestyle, diet, and goals, provided in booking forms, intake questions, or during consultations.
• Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Correspondence: emails and messages you send us.

Why we collect it

We collect this information for one purpose: to provide your consultation and personalized wellness plan, including scheduling sessions, preparing for your consultation, delivering your plan, processing payment, and following up on your progress. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising. If we ever wish to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent first.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to operate this business. Your information is shared with them only as needed to deliver the service:

• Cal.com (scheduling and booking forms)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• Netlify (website hosting)
• Email providers (for sending your wellness plan and correspondence)

These providers may store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We do not share your information with anyone else unless required by law.

Consent and your rights

By booking a consultation and checking the consent box on the booking form, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described here. You may at any time:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw your consent and request deletion of your information (subject to records we must keep for legal, tax, or accounting purposes)
• Raise a concern with us, or with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca)

How we protect and keep your information

This website is served entirely over encrypted HTTPS. Consultation records and wellness plans are stored in access-controlled accounts. We keep your information only as long as needed to provide ongoing care and to meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations, after which it is deleted.

Children's information

Our services include children's wellness consultations. All information about a minor must be provided by, and all sessions attended by, the child's parent or legal guardian, who provides consent on the child's behalf.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The embedded booking calendar (Cal.com) uses functional cookies that are necessary for scheduling to work. If we add website analytics, we will use privacy-respecting, cookie-free measurement or update this policy and request consent where required.
